Wearing and Caring for Invisalign Daily
For optimal results, aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours a day. They are only removed when eating, drinking (except water), or brushing teeth.
Daily care is simple. Aligners can be cleaned with lukewarm water, a soft toothbrush, and antibacterial soap or Invisalign cleaning crystals. When not in use, they should be stored in their case to stay hygienic and transparent.
Routine Check-Ups
Check-ups are scheduled every 6 to 8 weeks. During these visits, the dentist reviews progress and provides the next set of aligners. Since Invisalign does not involve brackets or wires, appointments are generally shorter compared to traditional braces.
